National Environment Agency (NEA) is launching the next phase of #ProjectWolbachia in Jurong East starting today! Male Wolbachia-Aedes mosquitoes, which don’t bite or spread diseases, will be released to help reduce the dengue mosquito population. When they mate with female dengue mosquitoes, their eggs don’t hatch—stopping the cycle of transmission before it even begins!

 

Here’s what you need to know:

Release Schedule: Every Wednesday and Saturday morning

Only male mosquitoes will be released and they don’t bite. Let them carry out their mission!
